- The Southern Honour Guard Squad comprises two Fer De Lance and two Gilas, representing the cream of AST Strike Gears.
The Southern Honour Guard Squad represents the cream of AST Strike Gears and the pilots that go with them. The squad consists of two Fer De Lance and two Gila Heavy Gears.
Based on the Sidewinder chassis, the Fer de Lance made a number of internal changes by borrowing the actuator and combat computer from the Diamondback. Sporting a wide array of lethal precision weapons, the current model is an elegant fighting machine. It is a highly prized Gear by the finest Southern pilots and units. It is most commonly found in the forces of the Southern Republic Army.
Developed as an upgraded variant of the highly successful Iguana, the Gila design focuses on the light trooper capabilities of the Iguana and the potential lethality of an Iguana in an assault role. The stock Gila comes armed with a state-of-the-art heavy submachine gun and an integrated underslung frag-cannon.
Additional parts enable upgrades to the Force, Command and two Slashing versions of the Fer De Lance.

- Additional weapon parts – 2 Medium Anti-Tank Missiles (MATM), 1 Light Pulse Laser (LPL) and 1 Light Guided Mortar (LGM)
